Acts 12:1-15

Today by the grace of God, we shall be looking at expirencing Divine help through Angelic intervention. I will like to take us through pages of the scriptures so we can have a clear understanding.  And it is important to explain who are angels, because there have been erroneous teachings on the subject of angels, some even believe their wife or children to be there angels.

The first mention of angel in the Bible in Genesis 3:24 speaks of the Cherubim.

Who then are angels?  Angels are celestial beings and Bible never give details about there creation as that of man, and the reason is not far fetch it is simply because the Bible is not writing for angels rather for men. It is quite important to note that they are pre-Adamic being.  They are ministring spirit Hebrews 1.14.

This teaching not to bring about the worship of angels rather to open our eyes to the spiritual reality of the angelic being and how we can relate with them.

From Genesis to Revelation there is to the mention of angels in the Bible. The mentioned of angels in the Bible is so pronounced that the subject matter is not strange, but the understanding of the reality of angelic being which is our focus today and how they relate with us.

The first order of angels mentioned in the Bible are the Cherubim like I had earlier mentioned, Cherubim is not a name of an angel but an order of angelic winged being.

Who are they? They are order of angelic winged creatures (Gen3:24) Their function includes defense, praising God, and glorifying is name, they have four wings, four faces, (Ezekiel 10:18-20)

Seraphims: An order of angelic winged creatures which praise God and also purifier. They are six winged angels (Isaiah 6:1-7)

Since they are Celestial beings are they share some things with man, which make it easy for them to manifest and relate with man kind.

1. They can manifest inform of man.

2. They eat Psalm 78:25.

3. They can speak the language of men

4. They can also speak in tongues

5. They can move as man, but they are not restricted by time and physical factors

6. They are also in legion

7. They praise God and Glorify God.

Angelic Manifestation and the ministry of Christ Jesus

1. An angel foretell his birth

2. An angel announce his name, missions and purpose

3. An Angel announce his birth

4. The tempter also remind him of angelic intervention when he took him to the Pinnacle of the temple.

5. After the temptation an angel came to strengthen him.

6. An angel announce his resurrection an angel

7. An angel announce his acession

In our Bible Passage today we saw that Peter was in prison, the same prison James was went and he never returned for he was beheaded. Peter was in this same prison as a result of the loud ovation Herod received at the death of James.

It was clear that Apostle Peter had no hope of freedom, little wonder he was found sleeping. But the church who no record showed prayed in the case of James took it upon themselves to pray for Peter. And lo and behold the angel of God manifested to deliver Peter. The angel led Apostle Peter through the doors and the gate till he was led to the place where others believers where. It's indeed great to know that the angel led Apostle Peter in this deliverance and victory. The response given to Sister Rhoda who first identify the voice of Apostle Peter in the house of John Mark where the Church was gathering, is a clear pointer to the fact that we all have angels.

Men and brethren,

Angelic being are ministring spirit sent to minister to us hiers of salvation, to lead, guide guard, direct, assist and help man kind. You can not just come across them at will, you must first be born again and have a close and intimate relationship with God for you to have angelic interventions.

Shall we Pray!
